Dear River Hill Current,
Thank you for all the memories over the last three years for Anna, and four for Bailey. You’ve given us a purpose and a place at River Hill. We started as underclassmen fools and ended up as the editors-in-chief (we’re still fools, but now with a title). We’ll cherish our memories as OG tendies and fellow RiffRaffs in the lounge and never forget our days as staff writers. We might have spelled the SMOB’s name incorrectly on the front page (Griffin Diven instead of Divin), put two of the same stories in one edition (multiple times), and always forgot to change the month on the headlines, but we certainly boosted ratings with our ‘Fill in the Vine’ section and bonus horoscopes. And though Anna did not write a single story this year, the newspaper’s website has never looked so average! And though Bailey only wrote two stories, the layouts had just the right number of careless mistakes. We have you, Mr. Vit, to thank for that one (for only teaching Bailey InDesign). Hopefully, we didn’t set too bad of an example for the JV scrubs. And as always, it’s a great day to be a Hawk.
Here’s to hope for a better future for The Current,
Anna Hovet and Bailey Schwab, editors-in-chief, 2018
