Palword is a brand new game (January 19th) that has quickly become a standout title because of how unique, mixed and diverse the game is. The game is mainly about taming creatures, building, and surviving. Its inspiration comes from Pokemon, Stardew Valley, and ARK.
ARK is a game quite similar to Palworld except the Pals are dinosaurs.
In Palworld, you can play alone or with friends. There are hundreds of cute creatures around each world called “Pals” that can do various things for you, including farming, and combat. It has elements of resource management, building and exploration. There’s also travelers that you can trade with and that help you learn how to survive.
This game contains several new features that distinguish it from its predecessors. Most noticeably, it is online. Pokemon and Stardew Valley still dont have online compatibility, yet Palworld’s Beta has only been out for a week, and its multiplayer runs decently.The only issue is how the game crashes quite frequently. It also is much different from the other games because you can have your pals use weapons. The crafting and building mechanics are simple and quick and unlike the other games your Pals can’t help you gather materials while you’re out and about.
A game that could be a close competitor to Palworld would be Stardew Valley. This game is a farming simulation game where the player restores a neglected farm. It combines farming, exploration, and social elements just like Palword. While Palword might have its unique features, Stardew Valley offers a well made farming game with a huge fanbase, making it a potential competitor in the genre of Palworld.
Sophomore Aiden Bahrain said, “The game is very fun, i’ve spent a lot of time on it already.” “Allowing the Pals to plant crops and help you build changes everything.” Freshman Ayman Ahmed said, “The only thing bad about the game is the glitches.” The game is in beta so that is common, and nearly impossible to have none. Overall I’ve heard alot of good things about it.
The game is close to perfect, and it’s only in beta right now. The game is free, so I would definitely recommend getting it, but I would personally wait until the game is out of beta for the glitches and game crashing to be fixed. Or get it now, you never know how long the game will be free. The only thing they need to change is how the game crashes so much and it will be a perfect game.
