As summer approaches, River Hill students prepare their attire for the scorching heat this year. Students are embracing their individuality and bringing out their greatest attributes. Despite unpredictable weather, River Hill students should remain up to date on the newest trends. From floral dresses to cargo jeans ,students highlight their best qualities and show their uniqueness through their clothing.
The weather has been changing drastically these few days. As it can be below 60 some days and over 80 the next. Many teenagers are confused about what to dress as a result of this. Feeling secure in an outfit is the most powerful confidence booster for an adolescent. Senior Elaina Weubkar says, “The weather has been so confusing, some days it’s really cold but then others it’s so hot, I just learned to keep a sweater in my bag.” This year’s general topic was about embracing your own style. These trends are all enjoyable to follow, but only if you can mold them into your own.
Starting with oversizing everything, with oversized jackets, jeans, and extra-large shirts becoming popular. Next year, the enormous style will only gain strength, with even the bottoms of pants bulging. Junior Allie M shares, “I love layering my graphic tees with a black tight shirt underneath. It really puts the look together. The corset looks have been increasingly popular recently and aren’t going anywhere. The corsets of 2023 are noticeably different from those from the nineteenth century and for the better. The style has lately been seen in celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Bella Hadid, and it is expected to continue in the coming year. This is perfect for a fashionable layer without feeling too hot, as it is layered over everyday pieces like white button-down shirts and floral dresses.
