If you thought Pokemon couldn’t get any better, you’d be wrong. On November 18, 2022, Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will be coming to the Nintendo Switch. With 191 new Pokémon, people are more excited than ever to play.
Pokémon started out as nothing but black and white pixels on the Nintendo Gameboy, and is now one of the largest companies owned by Nintendo. There have been 122 pokémon games from 1996 to 2022.
The main concept of Pokémon is to explore a new world while battling and catching the pokémon you encounter. Along the way, using the pokémon that you catch and train, the player will battle mini opponents until you reach the Elite Four and the Grand Champion. In the game, the player is able to play locally by themselves or online with millions of other players.
Pokemon are creatures that have a type and special abilities. Picachu, for example, is an electric type with moves such as thunder shock.
there are no other games that compare to pokemon. The reason why people would want to buy this video game is because of the large array of interesting and diverse pokémon who each have their own personalities, as well as the different biomes that each type of pokémon lives in.
When the game releases it will cost 60 US dollars. There is no advantage to getting the game early, and you start out and end with the same game, with very minor updates throughout its lifespan. Prospective buyers should wait until Christmas.
Even though it might seem like the game is still the same, it is not. One of the newest additions is the two new legendaries. A legendary pokemon is the strongest pokemon in the game. With each game comes a different legendary, which players will get after beating the game. These are just two of the many pokémon in the Paldea region. The Paldea region is the newest region of pokemon in the game. Another new addition is for the first time in the franchise’s history this is the first world that will let you explore anywhere, which has never been done ever.
Some people that enjoy playing pokémon games include Sebastian Knopp and Roman Rawls-Blodgett, who are both in 11th grade. Roman explained “I like to play Pokémon games because they are fun and I do it in my free time.” He also explained that he thought that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet would be good for the franchise “because it is more promotion for the company and game.”
Similar to Roman, Sebastian likes to play pokémon “because I have always had Nintendo stuff around me.” His favorite game is “Emerald because [he] grew up with the game and [he] likes the 2d games more than the 3d games.” Roman explained, “I like Pokemon GO because I like to catch them.” Also he enjoys pokemon games because “it’s cool and you can be in a different world with pokemon.”
When asked about the same thing Sebastian said “I’m not sure because people are still buying the game.” He also justified that likes the games because he likes “RPG’s in general and turn-based combat.”
If a player enjoys never-ending fun and catching the glorious pokémon I would definitely recommend buying and playing this game right away. The fun will never end.
