This presidential race has the most potential candidates the nation has seen in nearly two decades. With the race so close, however, one candidate emerges from the pack. Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton is currently four times as likely to win than any other candidate, the closest to her being Republican Senator Marco Rubio of Florida.
The statistics are gleaned from polls and betting websites around the country, and it comes as no surprise why Hillary is so far ahead of the competition. Say what you want about her, she’s simply the most qualified presidential candidate we have. Hillary Rodham Clinton served as First lady of the United States for eight years, and was very active. She is often compared to Michelle Obama and Eleanor Roosevelt in terms of action and impact.
She also served as United States Senator from New York, a powerful and diverse state showing she knows how to win the vote of a diverse population, a skill critical for winning the vote of the melting pot that is the United States. Lastly, she served as the Secretary of state in the Obama administration, the second most powerful and authoritative position in the entire government of the world’s largest superpower. The rest of the candidates pale in comparison to Hillary’s achievements, especially those who have absolutely no political experience, such as a brain surgeon and a business billionaire which somehow are astonishingly ahead of their respective parties.
Hillary Clinton as it currently stands, has a very clear path to the White House and it’s going to take a lot of work from the underdogs if they want to take first place over the political juggernaut that is Hillary Clinton.
