The action/adventure movie Jungle Book is scheduled to release on April 15, 2016 and provides a modernized version and is based upon the older movies and book that came out in 1894 and 1967 respectively. The movie is expected to explore similar ideas to the book and the movie. It tells the story of an orphan boy raised in the jungle with the help of a black panther, a bear, and a pack of wolves.
Jungle Book was directed Jon Favreau who wrote and directed such popular movies as Elf and Iron Man. He has also directed, Zookeeper, Wolf of Wallstreet, Avengers, and has acted in The Office and Star Wars.
Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Idris Elba, Lupita Nyong’o, Scarlett Johansson, Giancarlo Esposito, Christopher Walken, and Neel Sethi make up the bulk of the cast. Neel Sethi who plays Mowgli is only 12 years and will be acting in his first ever movie. Bill Murray who plays, Baloo and has also acted in 54 other films including Space Jam, Ghostbusters, Garfield, and Dumb and Dumber to. Obviously, everybody knows Scarlett Johansson for her acting, but she has also appeared in The Avengers, Lucy, Captain America, and Iron Man.
Richard M. Sherman, who wrote the music for the 1967 film, participated in this remake, but the soundtrack has yet to be released.
I would recommend this movie to anybody who saw the original movie and or has read the book since similar ideas will be incorporated to the new one. I would also recommend anybody who wants to watch the new Jungle Book movie to see the original one just because it will help you understand a general knowledge about the movie. However, anybody who enjoys action and adventure should definitely watch the movie just because of how popular it was at one time. This movie should bring back the buzz of Jungle Book.
