It’s the home stretch till the end of the year. With only less than two weeks of school, students are ready to throw their backpacks in their closets and forget about studying until the end of August. But there is still one large obstacle in the way: finals.
With finals approaching this week, many students are cramming in study sessions with friends and visiting teachers for extra help. Students are pulling out strategies to help them prepare and ace the upcoming tests. Junior Shae Fraser commented, “I’m reading a textbook, looking at study guides and looking over presentations and past assignments.” Another junior, Andy Davis, commented that even though they were stressed, they have “A good idea of how to study. I’ll mostly be looking at past assignments and presentations so I can make notes and study them.”
Having final exams in all seven classes isn’t easy, especially with them being 10% of your grade. But even with the stress, for some students, there are classes they are not as worried about. Sophomore Taylor Wilson remarked, “Art class is going to be an easy class since it’s just a reflection. It’s the only class I’m most confident in so that’s great.” Sophomore Caitlin Ball also replied with, “My best class is foundations of technology. It’s an easy class so I’m pretty confident about the final.” Sophomore, Evan Trost also commented saying that the class he’s most confident in is “Independent research, since you know, we took the final like two weeks ago so I have nothing to worry about.”
Once finals are finished, so is the end of this school year. Power through these last few days and give it your all for finals. Once the last bell rings on the 14th, feel free to dash out of the school’s doors, but for now, continue to study and do your absolute best during these last few tests!
